The Auto Save tool can be turned ON and OFF as needed via checking the “Enable auto-save” box in the Metadata panel above the Save button and is only accessible to those User with the ability to edit Metadata on an asset. This feature works on all editable fields in the Metadata panel.
When checked and turned on, the Save button will gray out.
Actions that will cause the Auto Save to engage are:
| • | Pressing <Enter> key within any Metadata field. |
| • | Selecting another Metadata field after typing in a previous field. |
| • | Navigating away from a Metadata field. For example clicking on a thumbnail in the asset viewer after typing some data in a Metadata field or going to another tab in the UI. |
