On top of supporting video uploads and playback, XDAM also allows you annotations with clip and frame markers. Once you drop the video onto the asset viewer the system will process the file and generate a thumbnail playback view. In XDAM, you can then double-click on the video to open up a large preview and play the video or click on the Video Edit Notes icon under the thumbnail. This will open up a robust video annotation tool that allows you to set frame markers, in/out points, write text, draw lines and arrow pointers.

You can also save new clips, send them out through email or sharing as well as change the thumbnail of the video itself. We wanted to make it a point that users might need to do basic retouch notes tasks but not try to be a video edit system that would weigh the tool down and cause more complexity.
